Karaha studio is a collective of diverse trained fine artists, studio and cultural practitioners, thinkers and makers. The studio is located near Khed-Shivapur toll plaza on Bengaluru-Mumbai highway and is conceptualized by a group of Artists who have dedicated their lives to art practice. Under their wings are many years of training, working and associations with some of the world's most prestigious art schools and institutions.

Karaha studio in every sense of the word is a labor of love, passion and obsession for these artists. Karaha means ‘creators’ and the studio positions itself as a vehicle that brings thoughts and ideas into being. And this artistic process takes a wide variety of expressions that ranges from custom handcrafted art objects like sculpture, painting, prints, mix media assemblages and décor to other artist services rooted in a wide variety of traditional, modern and contemporary techniques.

Art objects for us includes 'Art intentions' and 'Artist positions'; thus Karaha studio conceives of works/projects to also mean live clay modeling demo, art workshops, well curated pedagogic modules and other such short and long term professional communes.

At the more socially engaged spheres of our works we conceptualize experiments in the nature of site-specific, community / interactive art formulated through critical research in history, popular culture and zeitgeist of the present.

Karaha studio believes that ART IS ALWAYS RESTLESS AND AT FLUX. In the 21st century globalized world, there are many ways to describe Karaha studio. An artist may define it as a creativity lab/professional studio; an architect or an interior designer may define it as design solutions/ objects that deserve right spaces; an aficionado may think of it as a network hub of high art and commercial art; a person interested in the technique of clay may think of it as tuitions; and a casual curious walk-in may find a glimpse into the artist umwelt.

While all of the above, between and beyond are true at the same time; We propose that the essence of Karaha studio is in being a hybrid, a symbiotic. We nurture old knowledge yet are always striving to be pluralistic. We actively try not to be conditioned by positions and ideologies.

Thus Karaha studio will always remain a PROCESS _ which is located in the expanded field of human condition. YOU are an important part of this process. Each day, our praxis works towards finding a newer form of engaging with and in the world. You are invited into our world and the promise is that Karaha studio will activate and invoke something in you that has yet not come to words or ken.
